Robert C. Maron, Ed.D., Director

Robert C. Maron, Ed.D. received his degree in Psychology from Harvard University School of Education. Prior to becoming Director of Dana Group Associates, Dr. Maron was the Assistant Director of University Counseling services at Boston College as well as an active member of the clinical staff at Dana Group for over seven years. Dr. Maron has held several administrative and clinical positions for the Westwood/Pembroke and Versacare Health Systems. He was an Instructor of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School and Assistant in Psychiatry at Children's Hospital. Dr. Maron specializes in childhood and adolescent group work, individual treatment with young adults, and couples and family therapy.

Wanda Camacho-Maron, MSW, Psy.D., Administrator

Wanda Camacho-Maron, MSW, Psy.D. graduated from Simmons College, School of Social Work in 1993.  She graduated and received her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology in 1999.  Dr. Camacho-Maron has been responsible for Administrative duties at Dana Group Associates since February, 2006.

Staff Profiles

Melissa Ruboy Belkin, LICSW received her Masters degree in Social Work from Boston University. Prior to joining Dana Group Associates, Ms. Belkin worked at Columbia Hospital for Women and Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D.C. She also held the position of Clinical Social Worker at The Massachusetts General Hospital Children's Neonatal Intensive Care Unit from 2000 to 2006. Ms. Belkin has been with Dana Group Associates since October of 2006. Her specialties include depression, anxiety, post-partum adjustment, crisis intervention, and adolescents. Ms. Belkin has a certificate of Advanced Clinical Work with Children, Adolescents, and their Families.

Mark Blogier, LICSW received his Masters degree in Social Work from Simmons College. He completed his clinical internship at Tufts-New England Medical Center, Division of Child Psychiatry. Mr. Blogier has over 25 years of experience working with children, adolescents, individual adults, couples and families. He has a great deal of experience with trauma, substance abuse, family and couples treatment, and adjustment to life transitions. Mr. Blogier was the Clinical and Administrative Manager of a national Employee Assistance Program and provided training and organizational development consultation to all levels of human resource management in both local companies as well as national corporations. Mr. Blogier works for the Boston Public Schools; initially as a Student Support Coordinator where he provided mental health services in an elementary school setting and as a Middle School and High School Guidance Counselor. As part of his commitment to provide culturally competent treatment, Mr. Blogier has studied Spanish, spending summers in language immersion programs in Guatemala and Mexico.

Anne Marie Cornell, LICSW received her Masters degree in Social Work from Boston College, completing a Harvard-affiliated internship in cognitive behavioral therapy, as well as internships at the Massachusetts Mental Health Center, a Harvard-affiliated psychiatric training hospital, and at Grand Street Academy, a pilot school for challenged children in New York City. Ms. Cornell has over 25 years of experience as a psychotherapist working with children, couples, families, groups, and individuals. She has broad clinical experience achieved in a range of treatment settings including hospitals, clinics, and schools. She specializes in treating behavioral problems, attention deficit disorder, non-verbal learning disabilities, anxiety, depression, compulsive behaviors, and relationship problems.

Alan Cusher, Ph.D. has been a licensed psychologist provider for over 25 years. He earned a Ph. D. from the APA-accredited doctoral program in School Psychology from the University of South Carolina. His doctoral dissertation, based on original research, studied the neuropsychological aspects of reading disabilities. He completed formal postdoctoral training within the Clinical Neuropsychology department at Children's Hospital while serving as a Clinical Fellow at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Cusher has focused on psychological and neuropsychological assessment, testing, and consultation, and has provided consultative neuropsychological evaluations of students at the requests of parents, pediatricians and educational advocates. He also has extensive experience in the area of disability evaluation.

Denise M. Ewald, LICSW received her Masters Degree in Social Work from Boston College. Prior to joining Dana Group Associates, Ms. Ewald has worked with adolescents in a variety of clinical and academic settings; both within regular and special education, including a residential treatment setting, a clinically-based therapeutic high school, a high school for students with learning disabilities, and within the public schools. She has specialized in working with adolescents, families, and teachers in assessing and treating school-related adjustment issues involving social skills, self-esteem, anxiety, and educational difficulties. Her specific interest includes providing group treatment for adolescents to address issues with mood regulation and stress management. In addition to her position at the Dana Group Associates, Ms. Ewald provides group counseling and clinical consultation to parents and teachers at the Clearway School in West Newton.

Christopher Fortunato, JD, LCSW is currently the Dean of Students at Providence College and an adolescent clinical therapist practicing in the Metrowest area. Mr. Fortunato is a graduate of Harvard College, Harvard Law School and the Boston University School of Social Work and attended Oxford University. He regularly provides expert consultation and training to students, families, public school systems and colleges on topics including student development, alcohol and drug abuse prevention/intervention, career and graduate school advising, student involvement and more. Prior to his appointment as Dean of Students at Providence College, Mr. Fortunato served as Vice President of Student/Youth Services at Newton Community Service Centers in West Newton where he created and led Teen REACH, a comprehensive student/adolescent services organization providing academic, social, recreational, therapeutic and leadership development programs for middle, high school and college students from Newton, Needham, Wellesley, Waltham and other surrounding towns. He serves on several area youth services boards including the Newton Youth Commission.

Nicole Glick, Psy.D. received her degree in Clinical Psychology from Widener University where she specialized in School Psychology and Family Therapy. She completed her internship across two rotations, one at Northwestern Human Services of Philadelphia, and the other at Villanova University's Counseling Center. Dr. Glick's clinical interests include adolescent psychotherapy, women's issues, and the treatment of mood, anxiety, and eating disorders. Prior to coming to Dana Group Associates, she served as the school psychologist for Ashland Middle School and provided psychotherapy for children, adolescents, and adults at the Riverside Outpatient Centers at Upton and Bellingham.

David Gotthelf, Ph. D., NCSP received his Masters and Doctoral degrees in psychology from Boston College, and his undergraduate degree at Brandeis University. He has over 25 years of experience working in school and clinical settings, with a license as a psychologist provider in Massachusetts, as well as a national certification as a school psychologist. At Dana Group Associates, Dr. Gotthelf coordinates testing services. In addition to his position at Dana Group, Dr. Gotthelf is currently the coordinator and supervising psychologist for mental health services in the Newton Public Schools. Previous positions include Director of Student Services at Lincoln-Sudbury Regional School District and department head for special educational services at Wellesley High School. Dr. Gotthelf's clinical practice encompasses work with children, adolescents, and families. Of particular interest is the assessment and treatment of learning disabilities, executive functioning, and ADHD, including the use of computer-based programs designed to improve working memory and other abilities related to executive functioning and attention disorders.

Linda Isaacs, Ph.D. received her degree in Psychology from Boston University and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Cambridge Hospital, Behavioral Medicine Unit, Department of Psychiatry, Harvard Medical School. Dr. Isaacs has taken postgraduate training from Harvard School of Public Health, Harvard Medical School, and Indiana University Medical School. Her special interests deal with psychological and neurological assessment, neurodevelopmental issues, cognitive-behavior therapies, women's issues, anxiety and phobic disorders, stress-related disorders, and biofeedback. Dr. Isaacs has been in private practice for over 30 years while also serving as Clinical Psychologist and Consultant for Massachusetts Mental Health Center, Consulting Psychologist for Jewish Family and Children Services, and Clinical Neuropsychologist for Harvard Medical School, Department of Psychiatry. Past academic appointments have included being on the faculty of Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology and an Instructor in Psychology at Harvard Medical School, Department of Psychiatry.

Jordanna L'Esperance - Chouinard, Psy.D. received her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Antioch New England Graduate School. She is a licensed psychologist and health care provider in Massachusetts as well as a licensed school psychologist. Prior to joining Dana Group Associates, Dr. L'Esperance-Chouinard worked with children, adolescents and families in a variety of settings including schools, residential care and outpatient clinics. She has specialized in working with children and adolescents who have experienced complex trauma and who have engaged in abuse-reactive behaviors. She uses a strength-based, collaborative model when working with clients and families. Dr. L'Esperance-Chouinard has extensive experience with psychological testing, individual and group therapy and staff consultation and training. In addition to her work with Dana Associates, she works as a school psychologist for the Newton Public Schools.

Lisa Northman, Ph.D. specializes in the assessment and treatment of children and adolescents. She has worked in a variety of hospital, clinic, and residential treatment settings with children presenting with a wide variety of psychological disorders and medical illnesses. At Dana Group Associates, Dr. Northman conducts psychological and neuropsychological evaluations with children and adolescents presenting with concerns including learning difficulties, attention deficits, behavioral regulation difficulties, and other neuro-cognitive issues. In addition to her position with Dana Group Associates, Dr. Northman is a staff psychologist in the School Liaison Program at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.

Sherry Richman, LICSW received her Masters degree in Social Work from Simmons College. Ms. Richman has over 25 years of experience in her field and a background in child and adolescent development. She served as Associate Director of the Tufts University Counseling Center and has maintained a private practice focusing on work with couples as well as women around their mothering experience. Ms. Richman has facilitated and led workshops and trainings at area schools for staff, parents and students on many issues related to adolescents and their families. She also holds an advanced degree in Special Education and has worked as a consultant to special needs programs.

Pia Scaglione, Psy. D. received her degree in Clinical Psychology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology. She completed her internship at St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital Center, an academic affiliate of Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. Prior to joining Dana Group Associates, Dr. Scaglione worked both in private practice and as a psychologist for the New York City Health & Hospitals Corporation at King's County Hospital. During her employment at King's County Hospital, she provided services in the Child & Adolescent Outpatient Department, Psychiatric Emergency Room, and in the Women's Health Department. Dr. Scaglione works with people of all ages in individual, couples, family, and group psychotherapy. Her clinical interests include the treatment of attachment difficulties, grief and loss, issues related to the impact of trauma, perinatal mood disorders, and women's issues across the lifespan.

Susan Lynn Shoobe, Psy.D. received her degree in Clinical Psychology at Yeshiva University. She completed her internship at Kessler Institute of Rehabilitation and postgraduate training at the New York University Psychoanalytic Institute. Dr. Shoobe worked as a Senior Psychologist for the New York City Health & Hospital Corporation, at Woodhull Hospital's Child-Adolescent Outpatient Department and at Family Court Mental Health Services. She worked as a Neuropsychological Examiner in a number of settings including the Learning Disabilities Unit of the State University of New York College of Optometry. Dr. Shoobe specializes in both psychotherapy and assessment for children, adolescents and adults. She has extensive experience in neuropsychological and psycho-educational assessment. Her evaluation specialties include Learning Disabilities, Neurobiological Disorders and Medical Conditions that affect cognitive functioning.

Katharine Smith, Ph. D. received her A.B. in Psychology from Harvard University and her Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology from The Ohio State University. Dr. Smith completed her internship at Children's Hospital in Columbus, Ohio and her post-doctoral fellowship at North Shore Children's Hospital in Salem, Massachusetts. She works with children, adolescents, and their families conducting psychotherapy and neuropsychological assessments. Dr. Smith specializes in anxiety and mood disorders, behavioral problems, ADHD, learning disabilities, and pervasive developmental disabilities (autism-spectrum disorders).

Charles Styron, Psy.D. received his degree in Clinical Psychology from Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology and completed his postdoctoral training at Cutler Center, where he focused on psychological and neuropsychological assessments of adults. Dr. Styron completed an internship at New England Memorial Hospital and externships at Corrigan Center Inpatient Unit and Wareham Area Counseling Service. His specialties include psychological and neurological assessments, and he has provided these services to over 1600 clients. Academic appointments include being a Clinical Assistant Professor at Smith School of Social Work and an Instructor for the Institute of Meditation and Psychotherapy.

Beth Weinberg, LHMC received her Masters degree in Counseling Psychology from Antioch New England Graduate School. She has over 20 years of experience working in schools including a residential school for adolescent girls where she provided individual and small group therapy. Ms. Weinberg received post-masters certification and training in Second Step, a social emotional program that teaches children anger management and conflict resolution. Her specialties include increasing self-esteem and social skills for children with learning disabilities and ADHD; oppositional behavioral issues; and anger management and parenting education/support. Ms. Weinberg has also received training in treating children with histories of sexual or physical abuse. She has experience in bereavement issues for both children and adults. In addition to her work with children, Ms. Weinberg has a special interest and extensive professional experience in helping women who are experiencing relationship problems, emotional abuse and depression.

Katherine S. Wenger, LICSW received her Masters in Social Work from the University of Illinois. Ms. Wenger trained for three years at the Boston Institute for Psychotherapy. She currently holds a clinical staff position with the Outpatient Services Department of Cambridge Hospital. Ms. Wenger's primary clinical work focuses on women and young adults in individual and group psychotherapy. Additional clinical interests include trauma, early issues of attachment, and their developmental impact across the lifespan. She has also incorporated DBT and Mindfulness into her work with trauma survivors.

Hedy S. Wermer, Ph.D. received her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from Boston University in 1980, having completed an internship and fellowship at McLean Hospital in Belmont. In addition to working in private practice throughout her career, Dr. Wermer has served on the clinical staffs of Charles River Hospital, Brandeis University counseling service and Smith College counseling service. Dr. Wermer specializes in individual psychotherapy with adolescents and adults, with particular expertise in the treatment of adolescent and young adult women, including those with a history of trauma. She has had extensive experience with a college population and is knowledgeable about the problems of transition from high school to college and the developmental crises of the college years. She also does couples therapy and serves as a consultant to parents and families of adolescent and adult patients. Dr. Wermer also has expertise in the ethics of professional practice and has been a member of the Ethics Committee of the Massachusetts Psychological Association for the past nine years.
