A. Mitchell Abblett, Ph.D. received his degree in Psychology from Florida State University and completed his doctoral internship at Boston VA Medical Center. Prior to joining Dana Group Associates, Dr. Abblett worked in residential treatment settings, specializing in treatment for high risk children and adolescents. Dr. Abblett is currently the Clinical Director at the Manville School, a part of Judge Baker's Children Center. He has broad clinical experience with a range of populations and treatment settings, including children, adolescents and adults, conducting individual and group psychotherapy, psychological assessments, and designing behavior modification intervention programs in outpatient, inpatient and residential treatment settings. He also has interests in educating parents and families regarding social/emotional life adjustment issues as well as motivational enhancement and personal productivity.
Melissa Ruboy Belkin, LICSW received her Masters degree in Social Work from Boston University. Prior to joining Dana Group Associates, Ms. Belkin worked at Columbia Hospital for Women and Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D.C. From September 2000 until October 2005, Ms. Belkin was the Social Worker for The Massachusetts General Hospital for Children's Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Her specialties include post-partum adjustment, crisis intervention, and parent support groups. Ms. Belkin recently received a certificate in Advanced Clinical Work with Children, Adolescents, and their Families.
Mark Blogier, LICSW received his Masters degree in Social Work from Simmons College. He completed his clinical internship at Tufts-New England Medical Center, Division of Child Psychiatry. Mr. Blogier has over 25 years of experience working with children, adolescents, individual adults, couples and families. He has a great deal of experience with trauma, substance abuse, family and couples treatment, and adjustment to life transitions. Mr. Blogier was the Clinical and Administrative Manager of a national Employee Assistance Program and provided training and organizational development consultation to all levels of human resource management to both local companies as well as national corporations. Mr. Blogier works for the Boston Public Schools; initially as a Student Support Coordinator where he provided mental health services in an elementary school setting and as a High School Guidance Counselor. As part of his commitment to provide culturally competent treatment, Mr. Blogier has studied Spanish for the past 6 years and spent the past 3 summers at Spanish language immersion programs in Guatemala and Mexico.
Anne Marie Cornell, LICSW received her Masters degree in Social Work from Boston College, completing internships at Massachusetts Mental Health Center, a Harvard affiliated psychiatric training hospital, and at Grand Street Academy, a pilot school for challenged children in New York City. Ms. Cornell has over 20 years experience as a psychotherapist working with children, couples, families, groups and individuals. She has broad clinical experience achieved in a range of treatment settings, including hospitals, clinics and schools. She specializes in treating behavioral problems, attention-deficit disorder, non-verbal learning disabilities, anxiety, depression, compulsive behaviors and relationship problems.
Leslie Kim Cunningham, Ph.D. received her degree in Clinical Psychology at the University of Virginia. Prior to joining Dana Group Associates, Dr. Cunningham worked in a variety of clinical settings, including a residential treatment setting, outpatient mental health centers, and private hospital settings, specializing in assessment and treatment of children and adolescents and their families. She has extensive experience with conducting psychological assessment, including evaluation of neuropsychological functioning. Her specific clinical interests include psychosocial adjustment and outcomes of children and their families secondary to childhood medical diagnoses. In addition to her position at Dana Group Associates, Dr. Cunningham provides consultation to parents and educators around school-related issues of pediatric cancer survivors through her staff psychologist position within the Division of Pediatric Psychosocial Services at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
Alan Cusher, Ph.D. received his degree in Psychology from the University of South Carolina in which his doctoral dissertation based on original research studied the neuropsychological aspects of reading disability. He completed a postdoctoral fellowship in Clinical Neuropsychology at Children's Hospital while serving as a Clinical Fellow at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Cusher has focused on psychological and neuropsychological assessment, testing and consultation serving both children and adults. He has provided consultative neuropsychological evaluations of students at the requests of parents, pediatricians and educational advocates. Dr. Cusher has been providing consultative peer review of psychological and neuropsychological evaluations in the private insurance sector. Past academic appointments have included Part-time Instructor at both Assumption College and Anna Maria College and Associate in Pediatrics at University of Massachusetts Medical School.
Nicole Glick, Psy.D. received her degree in Clinical Psychology from Widener University where she specialized in School Psychology and Family Therapy. Dr, Glick's interests include adolescent psychotherapy, women's issues, and the treatment of mood, anxiety and eating disorders. She has been the school psychologist for Ashland Middle School and provided psychotherapy for children, adolescents, and adults at the Riverside Outpatient Centers in Upton and Bellingham.
David Gotthelf, Ph.D. received his degree Psychology from Boston College. Dr. Gotthelf has over 25 years experience working in school and clinical settings. At Dana Group Associates, Dr. Gotthelf has provided direction and coordination to the Testing Services Clinicians. In addition to his position with Dana Group, he is a Psychologist in the Newton Public Schools and was Director of Student Services at the Lincoln-Sudbury Regional School District. His clinical practice works with children, adolescents and families, and focuses in psychological assessment of Learning Disabilities and ADHS. Of particular interest is the diagnosis and treatment of issues related to school motivation and performance.
Linda Isaacs, Ph.D. received her degree in Psychology from Boston University and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Cambridge Hospital, Behavioral Medicine Unit, Department of Psychiatry, Harvard Medical School. Dr. Isaacs has taken postgraduate training from Harvard School of Public Health, Harvard Medical School and Indiana University Medical School. Her special interests deal with psychological and neurological assessment, neurodevelopmental issues, cognitive-behavior therapies, women's issues, anxiety and phobic disorders, stress related disorders and biofeedback. Dr. Isaacs has been in private practice for over 30 years while also serving as Clinical Psychologist and Consultant for Massachusetts Mental Health Center, Consulting Psychologist or Jewish Family and Children Services and Clinical Neuropsychologist for Harvard Medical School, Department of Psychiatry. Past academic appointments have included being on the faculty of Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology, and Instructor in Psychology at Harvard Medical School, Department of Psychiatry.
Lisa Northman, Ph.D. received her degree in Psychology from George Mason University. Dr. Northman has worked in a variety of private practice, hospital, clinic and residential treatment settings, and has specialized in the assessment and treatment of children and adolescents. She has significant experience in conducting psychological evaluations with children and adolescents, including diagnostic and psycho-educational measurement, aw well as neuropsychological assessment. She has experience conduction individual and group psychotherapy and creating behavior modification programming for a range of clinical populations. These include children presenting with diverse psychological/emotional disorders as well as autistic and developmentally delayed youth. In addition to her position with Dana Group, Dr. Northman was the Director of the Boston Center and is currently Staff Psychologist, Division of Pediatric Psycho-Social Services, at Dana Farber.
Susan Lynn Shoobe, Psy.D. received her degree in Clinical Psychology at Yeshiva University. She completed her internship at Kessler Institute of Rehabilitation and postgraduate training at the New York University Psychoanalytic Institute. Dr. Shoobe worked as a Senior Psychologist for the New York City Health & Hospital Corporation, at Woodhull Hospital's Child-Adolescent Outpatient Department and at Family Court Mental Health Services. She worked as a Neuropsychological Examiner in a number of settings including the Learning Disabilities Unit of the State University of New York College of Optometry. Dr. Shoobe specializes in both psychotherapy and assessment for children, adolescents and adults. She has extensive experience in neuropsychological and psycho-educational assessment. Her evaluation specialties include Learning Disabilities, Neurobiological Disorders and Medical Conditions that affect cognitive functioning.
Charles Styron, Psy.D. received his degree in Clinical Psychology from Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology and completed a postdoctoral training at Cutler Center in which he focused on psychological and neuropsychological assessment, testing and consultation serving both children and adults. Dr. Styron completed an internship at New England Memorial Hospital and externships at Corrigan Center Inpatient Unit and Wareham Area Counseling Service. His specialties are with both psychological and neurological assessments having during his career provided these services to over 1400 clients. Past academic appointments have included being a Clinical Assistant Professor at Smith School of Social Work and Instructor for the Institute for Meditation and Psychotherapy.
Beth Weinberg, LHMC received her Masters degree in Counseling Psychology from Antioch New England Graduate School. She has 20 years of experience working in schools and a residential school for adolescent girls where she has provided individual and small group therapy. Ms. Weinberg received post-masters certification and training in Second Step, a social emotional program that teaches children anger management and conflict resolution. Her specialties include increasing self-esteem and social skills for children with learning disabilities and ADHD; oppositional behavioral issues; anger management and parenting education/support. Ms. Weinberg has also received training in treating children with histories of sexual or physical abuse. She has experience in bereavement issues for both children and adults. In addition to her work with children, Ms. Weinberg has a special interest and extension professional experience in helping women who are experiencing relationship problems, emotional abuse and depression.
Katherine S. Wenger, LICSW received her Masters in Social Work from the University of Illinois. Ms. Wenger trained for three years at the Boston Institute for Psychotherapy. She currently holds a clinical staff position for the outpatient services department of Cambridge Hospital. Ms. Wenger's primary clinical work focuses on older adolescent, adult and in individual and group psychotherapy. Additional clinical interests include early attachment issues and their developmental impact across the lifespan. Ms. Wenger offers an Open Ended Psychodynamic Group for Women ages 20-50 through which she guides women to investigate more effective methods of expressing emotions, needs and desires in order to have more satisfying personal relationships.
