Adam Riccio

As an expressive arts therapist, I utilize the arts, play, and artistic expression to build rapport and generate positive relationships, discuss difficult topics and feelings in a contained and gentle manner, teach positive coping skills and meaningful life lessons, and engage in other important therapeutic services. Specifically, I enjoy exploring integrative therapy approaches that are appropriate for each client rather than utilizing traditional approaches that might be difficult for children, adolescents, and families to do in a strictly talk therapy setting. With a background in musical theatre and clinical psychotherapy, as well as  professional development as a team member at Boston Children’s Hospital Inpatient Psychiatric Unit, I take pride in my supportive and unique approach to mental health practices. Wherever you, your family, or your child may be in life’s journey, I look forward to meeting you to assist and support you down that chosen path.
