I received my MSW from Arizona State University and specializes in psychotherapy with individuals and groups. As a Social Worker, I am interested in creating a partnership with my clients to help them address social and environmental issues while empowering them to utilize their strengths to address their unique life challenges. My approach combines methods derived from Cognitive-Behavioral, Rational-Emotive, Trauma-focused, Dialectical-Behavioral, and Attachment-Based Therapies. I am also interested in mindfulness and distress tolerance techniques. Prior to becoming a Licensed Certified Social Worker, I completed an internship at the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), helping empower adolescents and senior citizens coping with severe mental illnesses. In addition, I worked in a college counseling center, where I provided therapy to individuals, addressing issues including anxiety, depression, adjustment disorders, trauma, grief and loss, personality disorders, and drug addiction. My primary goal as a therapist is to foster a strong, therapeutic alliance with each of my clients to allow them to express themselves fully and grow as individuals.
