Han Bertrand

I provide culturally sensitive and trauma-informed psychotherapy to individuals and couples. My therapeutic approach is person-centered and strength-based with an emphasis on psychodynamic, existential and spiritual concerns. This approach leads me to use empathic and compassionate listening and unconditional positive regard to create a safe and accepting environment for my clients. I help clients gain insights to improve self-understanding and self-compassion. I also help clients learn mindfulness-based coping skills to promote resilience. I have experience working with college students, international students and scholars, immigrants, young professionals, LGBTQ+ clients, elders, people who are grieving, and people with religious or spiritual beliefs.
