Dr. Lazar has trained in diverse interdisciplinary settings and specializes in trauma, with a particular interest in serving those with lived experiences of oppression, as well as military/first responder populations including medical professionals managing stressors stemming from the pandemic. Dr. Lazar has extensive group therapy experience and has provided group and individual therapy at varying levels of care. Dr. Lazar’s theoretical orientation is integrative, drawing from relational, narrative, multicultural, cognitive behavioral, and dynamic foundations, with additional training in DBT and the stage model of trauma treatment. She has additional interests in reducing mental health stigma, intersectional identities, and how personal values and culture inform experiences.
