I have over 30 years of clinical experience working with adults and adolescents and believe mutual trust and respect are the basis of any relationship. I was the Expressive Therapist in the Women’s Program at Charles River Hospital, a DBT based program where I pioneered the use of Art Therapy in the treatment of trauma and PTSD. I have helped clients coping with depression, anxiety, mood disorders, trauma, and autism spectrum disorders.
I believe in goal directed skills-based therapy, helping clients define creative ways to solve challenges of life and relationships and to develop personal strengths to achieve fulfillment and happiness. I utilize DBT, mindfulness/relaxation, motivation, lifestyle, and art/creativity in my work with clients. I incorporate the knowledge I have gained as a parent, exhibiting artist, photographer, teacher, and lifelong runner into my work with clients.
