Resilience for Front Line Medical Providers During COVID-19
Dana Group Associates is pleased to offer a 12-week support and skills psychotherapy group for those impacted by caring for patients with COVID-19 in direct care of any capacity (including but not limited to: nurses, doctors, EMTs and first responders). This will be a weekly outpatient group where medical professionals can have a safe and confidential space to explore the impact of the intensity of their work, patient and institutional stressors as well as impact on personal life. Group members will have the opportunity to offer support and receive feedback from one another, and will learn skills rooted in DBT (dialectical behavioral therapy) to build resilience, manage burnout, and expand upon existing coping strategies.
Groups will run virtually on Tuesdays at 3pm for 1 hour weekly and will be co-facilitated by Dr. Jessica Lazar, PsyD, and Laura Munier, LICSW. For additional information, please contact the Intake department by phone (781) 429 7755 ext. 1or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Dr. Lazar has facilitated Covid-19 support and resiliency groups for providers at Partners Healthcare including MGH, Brigham & Women’s, and McLean Hospital. Ms. Laura Munier has experience facilitating support groups in a multitude of settings including Mclean Hospital and Suffolk County House of Corrections. Dr. Lazar and Ms. Munier have extensive experience working with individuals exposed to trauma and in DBT. They also have particular interest in supporting individuals from an intersectional perspective and provide a therapeutic environment that safely welcomes all identities.
